On a Sunday morning while the adults sit in and listen to whoever is speaking, the children are having fun in junior church. Kids that are up to about 5 years old go to the creche, then move on up to the ‘younger’ junior·church where they still draw and play games but there is a theme which relates to God. When they mature a bit and can sit still for more than 5 minutes they move to the ‘older’ junior church where they build social skills such as teamwork, creativity and you make lots of friends. The kids fundraise sometimes giving a sense of achievement and pride.
“The Church of Scotland has a deep concern for the wholeness and wellbeing of each individual. It seeks to safeguard the welfare of all people, regardless of age, who come into contact with the Church and its organisations. It is the responsibility of each individual within the fellowship of the Church to prevent the physical, sexual or emotional abuse of children and young people.”
